Terms of service

These terms are an agreement between you and bptech LLC (“we”) for using Family Slate: the website, the service and the phone app. By creating an account you agree to them.

Your account

You must be 18 or older to create an account. You’re responsible for your account and for the household members you add. Keep your sign-in secure and tell us if you think someone else has used it.

Connected services

Family Slate works with services you choose to connect, such as Google Calendar and Kroger. Your use of those services is governed by their own terms. If a connected service changes or stops working, the matching Family Slate feature may change or stop too. Kroger’s service lets Family Slate add items to your cart; you review, schedule and pay for orders with Kroger directly.

Subscriptions and hardware

Acceptable use

Don’t use Family Slate to break the law, to harm others, to access accounts that aren’t yours, or to interfere with the service.

Meal ideas and recipes

Meal ideas are generated automatically and may contain mistakes. Check ingredients for allergies and follow safe food-handling practice. Recipes you import remain the property of their authors.

Your content

The lists, plans and recipes you add are yours. You give us permission to store and display them to your household so the service works.

Changes and ending the service

We may update Family Slate and these terms; we’ll give notice of important changes. You can delete your account at any time. We may suspend accounts that break these terms.

Disclaimers and liability

Family Slate is provided “as is”. To the extent the law allows, bptech LLC isn’t liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
